One Month

I want to sit back and reflex on the previous month and take the time to thank every artists who have contributed to Monzuki thus far, because without them, Monzuki would not exist.  It is to my amazement, the amount of talented artists I meet globally on a daily basis, and I have only just begun.  In meeting these artists, I find that behind these beautiful designs, illustrations, photographs, sculptures, etc., are some of the most humble and sincere people who are willing to share their personal expressions.  What is art if it is not shared?

As Monzuki is taking shape, I am excited by the responses.  With a list of artists scheduled to be featured, expect to see some outstanding art.

Chris Anthony Is Normal

You may view his work as dark and morbid, but there is something beautiful about his work. Is it the composition? The sepia tone? The subject matter? It is Chris Anthony's visions in its entirety which makes it amazing. It pushes us to explore the unfamiliar territory of the darkest part of life. He quoted on Eyemazing Gallery 159 which sums it all. "Most people are closed off to anything dark and sinister and just don't want to look at it," he states. "I have no problem looking into the darkest recesses of the human condition. And I think it's healthy to do that."

Growing up in Europe with frequent travels to Italy, his influences comes from visits to churches and museums, British Victorian painters, Pre-Raphaelites and Symbolists. To capture the mood, he normally uses vintage lenses dated back between 1860 to 1910. Most of the clothing and props are his personal collection.

Chris has directed music videos and commercials, but he is slowly returning to his passion as a photographer. His latest series of work, titled "I am the most normal person I know." I would like to conclude that his photography definitely sparks an emotional reaction that will leave me pondering. What does it do for you?

"The combination of the traditional and the digital is the most fulfilling." said Krzysztof Domaradzki, who is an illustrator and a graphic designer.  His projects makes you appreciate the level of detail and the amount of time invested in each piece.  I could only imagine the length of the process to conceptualize, sketch, scan, then digitally design with it.  His unique style of illustration gives true meaning to "organic" as each piece flows with complexity of life and energy.  In my opinion, it is refreshing to see great, talented illustration in conjunction with graphics design.  

Krzysztof has a Master Degree from Academy of Fine Arts in Poznan, Poland.  He is currently working with Eliza, who is his wife and a project manager at their StudioKxx.
