Working as an Environment and Concept Artist for the video game industry, Roland Tamayo spent his personal time with his twin boys before finding any spare time to paint. Much of his inspiration was from the birth and the development of his boys. He quoted, "My feelings and these emotions have been a big part of my art lately and what it has been evolving toward." Looking closely, you could see some references of his family life with selected pieces. Roland is planning to make book with his paintings, covering all the alphabets to show the weirdness to his kids, hence "The Black Widow Flower is for B" painting displayed below.
Roland Tamayo is an illustrator, graduated from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. He worked on game titles such as Ratchet and Clank, Resistance: Fall Of Man, and Resistance II. He is currently working toward his next exhibition "Under The Influence: He-Man and the Masters of the Universe" show in Los Angeles, January 8 at Gallery 1988, as well as a 4 person show, February 5, at Gallery 1998 in San Francisco.
All his environmental illustrations are beautiful as well as his ink and pencil on wood. Check out his website for further artwork.
